Bro Joshua Khu
One of the reasons God intentionally connects us with other believers is that we can support and encourage one another. We do this in a variety of ways, including bearing one another's sufferings or taking up someone else's cause. This is something we are told to do, but what does it mean to carry one another's burdens?
Bro. Joshua gives us a list of some of the unique examples of each of the Christians in the community that we should be aware of.
Silent
Sympathetic/Open minded
Calm
Serious
Emotional
Jolly
This implies that each of us possesses unique abilities to lessen each other's burdens; no one should ever go through situations alone. This is one of the responsibilities of the body of Christ.
The phrase :
"Action Speaks Louder Than Words" holds a lot of truth.
Bearing one another's burdens entails more than simply saying, "Okay lang yan." Instead, let us try to put ourselves in their shoes and understand what is truly going on in order to lighten their burden.
Help a Brother or Sister in any way you can.
Extend anything that can relieve someone's suffering.
Consider this verse in Galatians 6:2:
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
God looks in the heart, but we must also act in order to demonstrate our love to God and to our brethren. We must change our attitude toward our brothers and sisters.
Galatians 5:22-23 tells us;
Galatians 6 concludes with an advice that we walk in the Spirit and regard one another. Brothers and sisters, never weary of doing good for one another!
Jesus bore the burden of our sin for us, which we could never bear for ourselves. Jesus is the ultimate bearer of our burdens. Consider this verse:
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
