"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field."

Matthew 13:44

Parables are short and simple stories that teaches a religious or moral lesson.

Bro Jeric takes us deeper into how Jesus delivered simple stories to his followers, highlighting the criteria for those who are becoming a true servant of God and the responsibilities that come with it.

Based on the study, Bro Jeric highlighted the 5 elements of the "Parable of the Hidden Treasure":

1. The treasure is hidden in the field

2. The treasure belonged to the owner of the field

3. Treasure was worth more than the field

4. The man did not steal the treasure

5. The discovery was accidental

The context reminded us of the writings in Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
