Bound by Faith, Strengthened by Love

May 29–30, 2026

We are thrilled to look back on the wonderful success of our 2026 Youth Camp, held from May 29 to May 30, 2026. Guided by our inspiring theme, "Bound by Faith, Strengthened by Love," 56 attendees gathered together for a weekend filled with spiritual growth, learning, and unforgettable fellowship.

Throughout the weekend, attendees participated in a balanced program of Bible studies, group discussions, worship, and recreational activities designed to encourage both spiritual and personal growth.

The camp's theme was woven into every activity, serving as a powerful reminder that faith is not meant to be lived alone. Instead, it thrives when believers encourage, support, and grow alongside one another. Through shared learning, worship, and fellowship, everyone experienced firsthand what it truly means to be united as one family in Christ.

Camp Theme Studies

Loving Like Christ

The perfect example of love was demonstrated by Jesus Christ throughout His ministry. He consistently embodied compassion, humility, patience, forgiveness, and self-sacrifice—even toward those who opposed Him.

Our first Bible lesson was given by Bro. Jonifer Natividad, who opened the spiritual portion of the camp with an inspiring message centered on the meaning of our camp theme and its application to daily life.

We learned what it truly means to show unconditional love to one another, just as Jesus Christ showed His love to us. Everyone was reminded that Christ's love is patient, kind, and always puts others first.

The study taught us that loving like Christ is not merely a feeling but a daily choice. By applying these principles in our lives, we can build a happier, safer, and more caring community. It was a powerful reminder to use patience, understanding, and kindness to strengthen our relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Strength Through Trials

Trials can strengthen faith when believers choose to trust God during difficult circumstances. Hardships often become opportunities for spiritual growth, character development, and deeper dependence on God.

Bro. Michael Alesna led the second Bible lesson, focusing on how we can remain strong when life becomes difficult. Using passages from 1 Peter 1, he showed that our faith is tested and refined through trials.

This lesson brought comfort and encouragement to everyone present. It reminded us that difficulties are a normal part of life, but we never face them alone because God is always with us.

Hard times are not meant to destroy our faith but to strengthen it. God uses trials to help us trust Him more and prepare us for His coming Kingdom. Participants were encouraged to keep their eyes fixed on the future rewards of faith and to support one another through life's challenges.

Growing Together in Christ During Our Borrowed Time

Spiritual growth is not an individual journey but a collective responsibility among believers. As brothers and sisters in faith, we are called to encourage one another, strengthen one another's faith, and work together toward spiritual maturity.

Bro. Joshua Khu delivered the final Bible lesson of the camp. This thoughtful and challenging study reminded participants that our time on earth is short and that our lives are essentially "borrowed" from God.

Everyone was encouraged to reflect carefully on their daily choices and priorities. The lesson emphasized fellowship, encouragement, accountability, and unity within the body of Christ.

The study challenged participants to use their time wisely and to pursue spiritual growth together while serving God faithfully.

Sunday School Orientation

A special Sunday School Orientation gathered teachers to discuss plans and preparations for the upcoming Sunday School year.

The orientation provided an opportunity for teachers to openly share their experiences, concerns, suggestions, and expectations regarding the development of the Sunday School program.

Teachers exchanged valuable insights about effective teaching methods, classroom management, lesson preparation, and strategies to increase student participation and engagement. They also identified resources and materials that would help make Bible learning more meaningful and enjoyable for their students.

Group Discussion and Minute Meditation

Participants engaged in Group Discussion sessions where they openly shared insights, personal experiences, and reflections from the Bible studies.

These discussions allowed everyone to learn from one another and deepen their understanding of the biblical principles presented throughout the camp.

The evening concluded with a Minute Meditation led by Bro. Yuri Salise. This quiet and reflective session provided participants with a meaningful opportunity to pause from the day's activities and spend time reflecting before God.

As the atmosphere grew calm, everyone was encouraged to consider God's goodness, faithfulness, and the many ways He had been working throughout the camp.

Socialization and Outing

Following a day of intensive Bible study, all participants traveled to a resort for a time of rest, recreation, and fellowship.

The outing provided an excellent opportunity for everyone to appreciate God's creation together while strengthening friendships and connections among the brethren.

The organizing team prepared engaging games and team activities designed to encourage cooperation, movement, laughter, and teamwork. These activities were intentionally created to help participants break the ice, build trust, and develop meaningful friendships.

The day was filled with joyful interactions, meaningful conversations, and memorable experiences that reflected the spirit of unity and love promoted throughout the camp.

One beautiful example of teamwork occurred during meal preparations, where everyone willingly helped prepare and serve food for one another.

Youth Night

Youth Night became one of the most memorable and meaningful events of the entire weekend.

Before the main activity began, Bro. Ernesto Facun led an energetic icebreaker session that helped participants become acquainted with one another. Everyone introduced themselves and shared unique "tag gestures" or hand signs. Later, participants were challenged to identify one another using those gestures, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter and fun.

After the icebreaker, everyone formed a large circle in the hall. In the center, participants created a heart-shaped display using the lights from their mobile phones.

Prior to the activity, each participant had written their name on a slip of paper. Everyone then randomly selected a name from a box.

When their turn came, they stood with the person whose name they had drawn in front of the illuminated heart shape. Surrounded by the warm glow of phone lights, they shared words of encouragement, appreciation, gratitude, and Christian love with that brother or sister.

This deeply moving moment brought many participants to tears and beautifully illustrated the meaning of being truly "Bound by Faith, Strengthened by Love."

The evening was filled with fun activities, meaningful conversations, and unforgettable moments. It perfectly demonstrated the love and unity experienced throughout the entire camp.

Closing Exhortation

On the final day of the Youth Fellowship Weekend, Bro. Efren Facun delivered an encouraging exhortation focused on humility and servant-hearted living, following the example of Jesus Christ.

He emphasized that those who desire to be first must be willing to serve others. True greatness in God's Kingdom is not measured by status or position but by a willing heart to serve.

A key illustration was the account of Jesus washing the feet of His disciples. This powerful act of humility reminds believers that even the Son of God willingly served others and left an example for all to follow.

Appreciation and Thanksgiving

Special appreciation is extended to all speakers, presiders, readers, organizers, volunteers, and attendees whose efforts contributed to the success of the event.

Their dedication helped create an environment where learning, fellowship, and spiritual growth could flourish.

As participants returned home, they carried not only cherished memories but also valuable lessons from the studies:

  • Loving Like Christ

  • Strength Through Trials

  • Growing Together in Christ

More importantly, they left with renewed faith, strengthened friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the blessings of Christian fellowship.

Conclusion

The Youth Fellowship Weekend 2026 truly embodied its theme, "Bound by Faith, Strengthened by Love."

Through Bible study, fellowship, worship, recreation, and heartfelt encouragement, participants experienced the beauty of growing together as one family in Christ.

May the lessons learned throughout this camp continue to inspire each participant to love like Christ, remain faithful through trials, and support one another as we journey together toward God's coming Kingdom. Read the PDF file with pictures here
