Visiting Mindanao & Cebu Ecclesias

The year ended my pastoral visits for 2022. It provided spiritual nourishment to the members of Bataan, Cagayan De Oro, Mailag, Kalilangan, and Cebu Ecclesias.

My trip to all ecclesias in Mindanao and Cebu consisted of four classes, including the exhortations for Kalilangan and Cebu. A special lecture was presented at Argao Hall, Balaas and Malacorong Mountain for the interested friends. The topic was "

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile."

After each class, a lively session of questions and answers took place, with brothers and sisters participating.

There were also some great Bible sharing activities which we enjoyed and plenty of time to socialize afterwards in Kalilangan, CDO, and Cebu.

The young people were amazing. There were games to help promote the spirit of fellowship, as well as musical presentations which were both entertaining and beautiful, and displayed the musical talents of the young people in the ecclesia. Young people here continue to be very active with ecclesial activities and gospel preaching. The members, several of whom are very tech-savvy, have maintained their preaching activities and are regularly practicing new songs an hour before the meeting starts. This provides a wonderful opportunity for them to focus on the things that really matter and to avoid the distractions and dangers in the world today. A Bible Class is not complete without a simple meal and fellowship. Great to see the commitment of this young group studying God’s word and their active participation.

All in all, the my last pastoral trip for this December 2022 was a great success, due to the hard work of all members of their own Ecclesias down south and the support of the BEC team.
